About Tigist Aschenaki, RN
Tigist Aschenaki is a Registered Nurse and the proud founder of Care for Life Adult Family Home. She began her nursing journey at Tuskegee University in Alabama, where she earned her nursing degree along with a second major. Since then, she has devoted her career to providing compassionate, professional care for patients and their families.
Her passion for elder care began with her grandmother, who raised her with love and wisdom. Tigist’s grandmother passed before she had the chance to care for her, and that loss inspired Tigist to become a registered nurse and dedicate her life to serving seniors. In her honor, Tigist has dedicated her life to caring for seniors with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Tigist is widely recognized for her ability to combine medical expertise with genuine kindness. One former patient described her as “remarkable… making me feel at ease and comfortable, like I was in a five-star hotel… a nurse who treats every patient like a VIP.”
In recognition of her outstanding dedication to patient care, Tigist was honored with The DAISY Award in November 2019, a national award celebrating extraordinary nurses. You can read more about this honor here.
With years of experience in hospital and clinical settings, Tigist brings that same dedication and warmth to Care for Life. Her vision is to create a home where every resident feels safe, respected, and valued — a place where families can trust their loved ones are receiving not just care, but true comfort and dignity.
